From Idea to Income: The 3-Step Validation Formula

Hey there,
So you’ve got a side hustle idea… but how do you know it’s actually going to work?
Don’t waste weeks building something no one wants.
Here’s the simple 3-step validation formula I use before I commit to anything:
Problem First, Idea Second
Ask: What problem does this solve — and for who?
If it’s not solving something painful, urgent, or annoying, it’s not worth building.
Example: Instead of “a course on productivity,” think “a guide for freelancers who struggle to finish tasks on time.”
Talk to 5 People (Minimum)
Find real people in your target audience. Ask:
What are you struggling with right now?
Have you tried solving it? What didn’t work?
Would you pay for a solution?
If 3+ people say yes or ask “when can I get it?” — you’re onto something.
Pre-Sell or Soft Launch
Before you build, test the waters:
Create a waitlist page
Offer a pre-order or free sample
Post the concept on IG/TikTok and track interest
No traction = no launch.
You’ll save time, energy, and stay focused on what people actually want.
Big ideas are cool. Validated ideas make money.
